Love the Crunchy roll and Fire Roll..!

The location being in the plaza of Old Towne Orange  is also the best part of the dining experience.

I remember this not being great a few years ago but thought it can't be that bad... it's worse. This is honestly the worst "sushi" I've ever had and didn't taste fresh. I have no idea what the microwave is for they're using (I don't know why a restaurant has a microwave) but I'm assuming for the "teriyaki beef". The beef was the grossest thing I've ever tasted and soaked in an awful sugary flavorless sauce. Since when does a California roll not have cucumber and avocado?! Service isn't good either and they have no idea what food is going where. Not sure why this place has no system in place other than looking at the checks all lined up on the counter and trying to remember what's what.

I can't even put into words how awful this flavorless, and colorless sushi was. Usually sushi is bright and colorful and everything was as dull looking as it tasted.

Never coming back. It's a shame and a good sushi place would do so well in the circle!

We attended the Orange Festival with all the food vendors, but it was too hot to eat outside so we chose to give this small resto a try.

Upon entering noticed the ac wasn't blowing cold air hence the reason for the ceiling fans. Wasn't too bad so it was bearable.

They had lunch specials and we ordered the rollsets. Our server was at times difficult to understand as he was soft spoken. He took our order and didn't ask what we wanted to drink.  When he came back ... instead of going around the table to distribute the drinks, he handed me each water and asked me to do his job essentially. I think he should have gone around the table.

The rollset was just ok. Nothing memorable. Didn't even finish it. Will I be returning? Not sure

Poor service and an attitude of arrogance lands this business in my not to return category.  How can a sushi man just ignore you so well, to me it would take real effort.  The food wasn't half bad but the service ruined the experience.  The ambiance honestly is kitschy, with plastic flowers and menus you want to wipe your hands off after handling.

Upon arrival we were sat at the sushi bar and menus were left behind.  No explanation, no intro, no questions as to our familiarity with the restaurant, so we had no idea the protocol.  Several minutes later one of the "servers" cane to take our order. Again, no questions-just the expectation that we should be ready to order.  They need a real makeover, where's management, the front of house all need to go.

You guys, I decided to give this place another try after about 6 years of not coming to this place Because I had a bad experience the first time, and WTF now I know for sure that I'm never coming here again.

I got a to-go order and the cashier/waiter was nice. There wasn't a problem with that.

But the food was DISGUSTING. I got a baked lobster roll and a simple salmon roll and the salmon was so HARD. I couldn't even chew it, it was so tough and flavorless. And it tastes like it's been sitting in the fridge for weeks before being served to me. Definitely NOT fresh.
The lobster roll smelled like strong rotten fish mixed with sewer water. It was NASTY. I took one bite and spit it out.
The only thing I could eat from what I ordered is the rice and seaweed if I pick it off the salmon roll. But even then I'm scared to get some kind of food poisoning because it just smells so bad. I'm so disappointed and insanely grossed out
Also what's up with the HUGE size cut rolls? There's so much rice.
Please don't waste your money here.
